An 80 years old man, a patient of throat cancer was discharged
as a hopeless case from the KMC hospital/ Hubli. He
could only consume a liquid diet of milk and fruit
juices. His son who was working in Mangalore came to
me for my opinion. Without seeing the patient and hoping
for the best, I sent him with the medicines. With in
a month the son got the massage from his father to
say that he is feeling better and would like to meet
the doctor. One Sunday I went with his son to see him
and reached his place early in the morning. The son
was surprised to see his bedridden father walking about
and later eating 'dosas' for breakfast along with us.
